Meet the heroes and legends of Aponene
Meet Gregor Haechaman
Gregor is a halfling, small in stature but made of iron where it counts. He grew up in a small village. He lived with his adoptive parents and his older brother, Magnus—his closest friend, protector, and rival in every harmless scrap and daring prank. That life ended in fire.Gregor no longer smiles. His eyes are sharp and too old for his face. He moves with quiet focus, carrying the weight of memory in every step. But inside him, there's a spark that won’t go out: the need to make it right. To hunt down the ones who did this. To make them remember what they took. That life ended in fire.
Meet Arawyn Zylsys
Arawyn is the spark that lit the fuse. She’s an elf. She’s quick, clever, and has a knack for getting into trouble. But she’s also fiercely loyal to those she cares about. Arawyn is the one who brings Gregor and Magnus together, and her presence in their lives changes everything. She’s the one who shows them that there’s still hope in a world filled with darkness. Arawyn’s not cruel, but she’s not soft either. She believes revenge is a form of justice the world doesn’t want to admit exists. She knows how to fight dirty, how to move through cities like smoke, and how to keep the brothers alive when grief makes them reckless.
Meet Magnus Haechaman
Magnus is a human built like a stone wall—stocky, strong, and stubborn to the bone. Older than Gregor by a few years, he always saw it as his job to look out for his little brother, even when that meant stepping into danger first and laughing it off later. When their village was burned, and their parents taken with it, something in Magnus dimmed. He doesn’t show it the way Gregor does—doesn’t talk about it much either—but the loss is carved deep into him. Despite everything, Magnus still tries to protect his brother. Even though Gregor doesn't need it anymore. Even though they both know the path they’re on leads to blood and fire.
Meet Grumir Goldfoot
Grumir is a dwarf whose presence fills any room with unspoken tension. Once, Grumir served as a bodyguard to the king—a position of pride and honor. He was the best, known for his skill in combat, his unwavering loyalty, and his unbreakable discipline. But all of that crumbled when the king was assassinated, and Grumir was unable to stop it. The king died under his watch. The people blamed him for the tragedy. He signed a contract with Arawyn, agreeing to fight beside her and the others, not out of any sense of loyalty or vengeance, but for the gold she promised him. He’s a pragmatic dwarf, not one for idealism or lofty goals—he fights because it pays. It’s the only reason he’s still standing. But deep down, Grumir wonders if this journey might be his chance for redemption.
